1. What the site stores in your browser

• ts_consent (Essential, 180 days). Records your choice in the cookie notice and is mirrored in your browser's local storage under ts-consent. It identifies nothing and is never sent anywhere but this site.
• _ga (Analytics, 2 years). Google Analytics: a random identifier that lets us tell a returning browser from a new one when counting visits.
• _ga_06CVDTNPM0 (Analytics, 2 years). Google Analytics: keeps the state of the current visit.

Plausible Analytics, which we also use to count visits, sets no cookies.

2. Your choices

The cookie notice has two categories: Essential, which is always on, and Analytics, which covers Plausible and Google Analytics. Turn Analytics off in the cookie preferences and neither tool counts your visits, and the Google Analytics cookies are removed.

If you leave the notice unanswered it closes itself after about twenty seconds and records what is already running: Essential on, Analytics on, and nothing else. Nothing new starts at that moment, and Your privacy choices in the footer of every page reopens the preferences. In the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google Analytics stays cookieless until you accept Analytics.

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser's settings. Blocking ts_consent means the cookie notice asks again on your next visit.

3. Third parties

Google Analytics. Provided by Google, which processes this data on our behalf under its data processing terms; it does not store IP addresses. We run Google Analytics with Google signals and ad personalization turned off and do not use it for advertising. Plausible. Cookieless and keeps no personal data.

4. Changes

If the cookies this site uses change, the "Last updated" date above changes and the new version is published at this address.
