Answers to the questions we get most. For anything else, email us from the app (Settings › Contact support) so the message includes your app version.

I deleted something I wanted to keep

Open the Photos app › Albums › Recently Deleted. Deleted photos and videos can be recovered there for up to 30 days unless permanently deleted sooner. Compression saves a new video first. Done keeps the original; if you chose "Replace original" and confirmed deletion, the original is in Recently Deleted too.

Review duplicate contacts

Grant optional Contacts access, review a matching group, then choose Open in Contacts. Apple's contact editor handles any edits or linking you choose. This handoff is free, and Tidyshots does not automatically merge or delete contact cards. Photos' Recently Deleted recovery does not apply to contact edits.

The scan skipped some photos

Photos that live only in iCloud (the "Optimize Storage" setting in Photos) are counted but not analysed, because analysing them would mean downloading them first. The results screen shows how many were skipped. To include them, open Photos, let the items download, and rescan.

Cancel or manage a subscription

Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions › Tidyshots. Cancelling stops renewal at the end of the current period. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds

Purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too: reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot see your payment details or issue refunds ourselves.

Restore a purchase on a new device

Settings in the app › Restore purchases, signed in to the same Apple Account.

Privacy

Media analysis runs on your device and scan signals are cached locally between sessions. The app does not send media or contact content to its paywall or analytics providers. Those providers receive separate usage, purchase, identifier and diagnostic data. Share and iCloud retrieval use the services you choose or Apple's services. Details in the Privacy Policy.
