Tidyshots is a product name of, and is operated by, Elowin Labs LLC ("we", "us"). References to "Tidyshots" mean Elowin Labs LLC doing business as Tidyshots. This policy explains what the Tidyshots iOS app does with your data. The short version: your photos and contacts stay on your iPhone.

1. Your photos never leave your device

Tidyshots scans your photo library on your iPhone using Apple's on-device image analysis (the Vision and PhotoKit frameworks). Thumbnails, image signatures, quality scores and file sizes are computed on the phone and kept in the app's memory for the duration of the scan. No photo, video, thumbnail or signature is uploaded anywhere. There is no Tidyshots server that receives them; we could not look at your photos even if we wanted to.

Deletion is performed through iOS's own Photos confirmation dialog. Deleted items go to your Recently Deleted album for 30 days, where you can restore them. Compressed videos are saved to your library as new items; the original is removed only if you chose "Replace the original".

2. Contacts

If you grant Contacts access from the Duplicate contacts screen, Tidyshots reads your contacts on the device to find cards with the same name, phone number or email address, and merges them only when you tap Merge. Contact data is not uploaded or stored by us. You can revoke access at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Contacts.

3. Usage analytics

The app sends anonymous usage events to TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service: event names (for example "scan finished", "paywall shown", "purchase completed"), counts and size ranges in coarse buckets, your app version, device model and iOS version, and a random identifier that is hashed on the device and cannot be linked back to you by us or by TelemetryDeck. No photo content, file names, contact details or precise storage figures are included. These events are used to understand which features are used and to keep the app working.

4. Advertising attribution

If you installed Tidyshots after tapping an ad on the App Store, Apple's AdServices framework provides the app with an attribution token. The app sends that token to Apple's attribution service to learn which campaign, ad group and keyword the install came from, and attaches those identifiers to the usage events above. This tells us which ads work. It does not identify you, does not involve any third-party ad network, and does not track you across apps or websites. Tidyshots does not use the App Tracking Transparency tracking permission because it does not track.

5. Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive anonymized transaction information from Apple (product, price tier, country, dates) and never your payment details. Manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions.

Scan results live in the app's memory and are discarded when the app quits. Anonymous analytics events are retained by TelemetryDeck in aggregate form. Support emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to help you and then deleted.

8. Your rights

Because the app holds no personal data about you on our side, there is nothing for us to export or delete beyond support correspondence. If you are in the EU, UK, California or another jurisdiction with data-protection rights and want to exercise them, email us and we will respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

9. Children

Tidyshots is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher minimum age in your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

If this policy changes materially, the "Last updated" date above changes and the new version is published at this address.
