Terms of Use

1. The App

Tidyshots scans the photo library on your device to identify similar photos, exact duplicates, screenshots, blurry photos and large videos. Results are automated suggestions. You review every selection and decide what to delete. Photo and video deletion uses the iOS confirmation dialog. Deleted media can be restored from Recently Deleted for up to 30 days unless permanently deleted sooner. Compression saves a new video first; the original is removed only if you choose "Replace original" and confirm deletion.

With optional Contacts access, Tidyshots finds potentially duplicate contact cards for review. "Open in Contacts" presents Apple's contact editor for changes or linking. Tidyshots does not automatically merge or delete contact cards. Contact editing is separate from Photos deletion and its Recently Deleted recovery.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the higher minimum age in your jurisdiction, and legally able to enter into this agreement.

3. Free features and Pro

Scanning, reviewing results and opening Apple's contact editor are free. Deleting photos/videos, compressing videos and saving enhancements require Pro. Pro is offered as an auto-renewing weekly subscription (with a 3-day introductory free trial for eligible users) or an auto-renewing yearly subscription. Exact prices, periods and available trial terms are shown in the App before you buy and purchases are charged to your Apple Account. Enhancement tools require a supported device and OS; a subscription does not remove those requirements.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the price shown until you cancel. A free trial converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Manage or cancel at any time in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Use Settings in the App › Restore purchases to restore valid entitlements with the same Apple Account. If you already hold a valid legacy lifetime entitlement, the app continues to recognize it; lifetime is not offered for new purchases.

4. Refunds

Purchases are made through Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly.

5. Your content

Your photos, videos and contacts are yours, and we claim no rights in them. Tidyshots processes media and compares contacts on the device without sending their content to its paywall or analytics providers. Your chosen Share actions and Apple's iCloud or contact-account syncing are separate. You are responsible for keeping backups of anything you care about, reviewing suggestions before confirming a deletion, and reviewing changes in Apple's contact editor.

6. Acceptable use

Do not reverse engineer, resell, or interfere with the App or the App Store's purchase mechanisms, and do not use the App in violation of applicable law or Apple's terms.

7. Our intellectual property

The App, its design, code and trademarks are owned by Elowin Labs LLC or its licensors. These Terms grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms.

8. Third-party services

The App uses Apple's frameworks for media analysis, the contact editor, purchases and ad attribution. Superwall supports paywalls and subscription functionality using pseudonymous identifiers, interaction data, performance timings and diagnostics. TelemetryDeck provides usage analytics using hashed identifiers. The Privacy Policy describes these data flows and local storage. These services are governed by their own terms. Offline scans use locally available media; iCloud retrieval, purchases, restores, remote paywalls and online legal pages require a connection.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT SIMILARITY, BLUR OR DUPLICATE DETECTION WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE, THAT COMPRESSION WILL PRESERVE ANY PARTICULAR QUALITY, OR THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ELOWIN LABS LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PHOTOS, VIDEOS, CONTACTS OR OTHER DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it; deleting the App does not cancel a subscription, which you manage through your Apple Account. We may suspend or end access to the App if you breach these Terms.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes are reflected in the "Last updated" date above; continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction whose law gives you rights that cannot be waived by contract, those rights are not affected.
